Take part in a Yorkshire treasure trail

Yorkshire Trails

Ripon, North Yorkshire

Discover hidden parts of England’s largest county with a Yorkshire treasure trail.

The Ripon-based Yorkshire Trails offers treasure hunts and trails that can be enjoyed by everyone, from school outings, through family days out and team-building training days for companies. Want something totally unique? The team will put together a bespoke treasure hunt or trail just for you, your family or friends.

The trails offer a fun new way to discover the best Yorkshire has to offer. The trails feature easy-to-follow routes… just crack the clues to find out where your next location is and take in some fascinating sights along the way.

Trails can be held as treasure hunts, murder mysteries or spy missions – and all are completed in your own time. They’re ideal for small groups of four to five people and from ages six an above.

They can be held in a host of pretty villages and picturesque market towns on the Yorkshire Coast, the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Herriot Country, Bronte Country, the Yorkshire Wolds, Teeside and the North York Moors National Park. Some also take in the route of the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race.

The trails are devised by a crack team including Neil, Jane, Chris, Gosia and Lennie with backgrounds as varied as IT and customer service. What they all share is an obsession for detail and design, as well as a love of Yorkshire, their home county.

Team building trips for companies can be organised for anything between 20 and 200 people with satisfied companies including supermarket giants Morrisons and Aldi, the Devonshire Hotels & Restaurants group and M&S.

The company is part of the Treasure Trails Partners group and has been in operation since 2011, so guests can be sure they are getting a great way of seeing Yorkshire in an innovative and unique format.
