Ripon, North Yorkshire
Treetop Nets is completely new to the UK – a great family day out you can bounce around on safety netting suspended between tall trees.
There are sites in Ripon, North Yorkshire, and Windermere in the Lake District, but the inspiration behind the technology is from across the Channel in France.
The many activity stations include walkways, tunnels, ball games and slides. You can even have a go on a gigantic trampoline as you are suspended 12m off the ground.
However, don’t worry about tumbling to the ground – you’re always surrounded by a tall 3m safety net. This also means that you do not to be harnessed to a safety rope like more traditional tree-top adventure courses, so you have more freedom to move around. You’ll receive a safety talk beforehand which gives you the opportunity to ask any questions.
The grounds of the sites are ideal for a picnic so you can refuel in the fresh air after coming down from the nets. You’ll be surprised at how much energy you will burn off!
For the more daring adventurer, you can head to the sister adventure site, Treetop Trek (Lake District only), where you can enjoy whizzing down a 250m zip wire while taking in the beautiful woodland scenery.
There are also 35 exciting treetop adventures to enjoy including a cargo net, treetop surfing, and a raised rope bridge.
